Our First Meeting!

The Midway Thursday Threads met for the first time on January 10, 2013.  We are a group of amazing women who share the love of quilting.  Ms. Carol Hunt, President lead the meeting with a bit of housekeeping and approval of the by-laws.  She then presented various projects that we will work on during the year.

Barbara and Michelle Murdock gave a presentation on the manufacturing and production of fabric.  This presentation started from the cotton plant and continued to finished fabric.  Michelle's portion of the program was her experiment on different qualities of fabrics that had been exposed to sun and laundering.  The group appreciated the information that these ladies shared with us.

Next month, Noel Minneci will be teaching her Confetti Quilt.

Thanks to all for a fun afternoon.  We are excited to be together and are looking forward to our new group.
